Collin McHugh has been pretty awful this year for the Houston Astros

29-year old righty starting pitcher Collin McHugh has been pretty awful this year for the Houston Astros.  He has pitched in 25 games (all starts) for the Astros so far this year and he is 7-10 with a 4.99 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP.  He has given up 169 hits (22 homers) and 39 walks while whiffing 137 batters in his first 137 innings this year for the Astros.  Since July 1st, McHugh has pitched in 9 games (all starts) for the Astros in which he is 2-5 with a 5.79 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP.  The Astros expected so much more out of McHugh in 2016.  After all, in his first two years with the Astros, he pitched in 57 games (all starts) in which he was 30-16 with a 3.39 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP.  If the Astros are going to make it back to the playoffs this year, they are going to need McHugh to get his act back together…..Pronto!
